WOMEN CELL
            Majority of students in this college are women. The cell organises various classes and training programmes with the purpose of empowering girl students. Seminars, discussions, spiritual guidance and counselling are also arranged for the girl students.  

SC/ ST MONITORING CELL
            The SC/ST Monitoring Cell is constituted to promote the welfare of SC/ST students. It takes care to provide them with all assistance available from the government in addition to addressing their personal problems. Their progress is examined periodically and great care is taken to see that they are not marginalized in the college.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CLUB
            The ED club, constituted as per the directions of the Department of Industries, Government of Kerala, has the prime objective of inculcating entrepreneurial culture among the youth and to equip them with the skills, techniques and confidence to survive in the modern era.

INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (IQAC)
            The IQAC has been constituted in the college with the intention of improving the quality of performance at various levels as directed by the NAAC. It is primarily intended to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of the institution.   

SCIENCE CLUB
            The club envisages the development of scientific aptitude among the young minds. High school students from in and around Thodupuzha are provided basic training in developing their scientific skills.

COMPUTER TRAINING CENTRE
            The centre focuses its activities in providing computer literacy among the students. It also plays a key role in the application of modern technology to teaching and learning process.

CULTURAL FORUM
            Various clubs like Music club, Dance club, Quiz club, Debate club, etc. function under the Cultural Forum. It organizes various competitions and prepares students for participating in various University and State level competitions.

LIBRARY COMMITTEE
            The Library committee supervises the proper functioning of the Library. It ensures that the students are given maximum access to the books and journals and more stock is added to the library every year.

VALUE EDUCATION CELL 
            The Value Education Cell takes care to inculcate and nurture values in young minds. With this purpose, Value Education classes are conducted on every Thursday for 20 minutes.

HEALTH CLUB
            The club tries to create awareness among students on the importance of physical exercise. The club also aims at fighting alcoholism, smoking and the use of drugs.

NATURE AND TOURISM CLUB
            The club tries to enlighten the student community on the need for preserving the environment free from pollution. Opportunities to enjoy nature are provided to the students by taking them to different places of scenic beauty.

HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT CENTRE
            The HRD Centre functions in the college with special attention on the overall development of students. Classes and other training programmes are conducted regularly.

CAREER ORIENTATION AND PLACEMENT CENTRE
            The centre provides information on educational and job opportunities in India and abroad; gives training in public speaking and leadership, gives coaching for various competitive examinations conducted by various bodies. The centre also helps students to get placements in reputed companies/ institutions.

RETIRED TEACHERS’ FORUM
            The Newman College Retired Teachers’ Forum is an active association which aims at the inculcation of intimate fellowship and promotion of frequent interaction among the former teachers of the college. The activities of the Forum are being guided by Prof. V.O. Ouseph and Prof. E.D. Sebastian.

 M.G. UNIVERSITY STUDY CENTRE
            The M.G. University Study Centre in the College Campus offers  a rich variety of latest books in almost all subjects. The Electronic Library called INFLIBNET containing several online journals is freely accessible at this centre.
